Mistakes

We all make mistakes,

Both for good and for bad,

Depending on the risks you take,

They’ll show you the life you coulda had,

We all make mistakes,

It’s part of who we are,

The only way to live and learn,

The only way to get far,

We all make mistakes,

Some we try to forget,

Some that last a lifetime,

Some filled with regrets

We all make mistakes,

Some bigger than most,

Others you try to keep in the closet,

Some that are fun to boast,

We all make mistakes,

Especially when it comes to love,

We never know who will play us,

Or who might be the one,

So we make the mistake of,

 letting the good ones go,

Keeping the bad by our side,

 And keeping them too close,

But after all we’re humans,

Everything we get, we lose,

We all make mistakes,

But it is some that you can choose,

So think before you speak,

Don’t judge before you know,

Cuz the person here this week,

Maybe gone tomorrow,

We all make mistakes,

So yea I’ve had my share or two,

But baby I’m just human,

Just human, like you.
